Biography

Known as the man of a million faces, (just take a look through this website, you will see why), also the "guy who plays barefoot." Newnan, Georgia, about 40 miles south west of Atlanta, the place I was born, in August of 1978. Life is slower and quieter there amongst the trees and shallow brooks that linger along its gentle slopes. A drive down dusty gravel roads takes you past weathered homes that still burn wood or coal for heat, where an old man sits waving to everyone who passes, and tractors rust in the sparse fields. People are very patient there; after all, tomorrow is another day of the same.

Moving to Colorado when I was only 4, I now consider myself a Native of Colorado. I love my home state of Georgia, so very much. The land of the most beautiful places, and people in the USA. I also cherish Colorado, Gods country. The beautiful mountains, the plains, and the big sky, are what inspires me, everyday. Living in Colorado for all my life almost, I still don't take the beauty of Colorado for granted. I am part Native American, Cherokee to be exact, and I am so very proud to be. I love my history, and the native people. I have lived in the mountains of Colorado, and Arvada. I loved both places, now currently reside just south of Denver. I have seen the mountains, and streams a thousand times, but they still, to this day, take my breath away. I love nature, and all of God's creations.

My drumming started when I was about 3, my Dad, bought my first drum kit, thank you Dad! I played it as long as possible. After that I got another drum set from my father. I played it until about 1992. Then I became very serious about my craft, and in 1994, I bought my current kit new. I then decided to try to pursue it further, by joining some Colorado band's. None of them really got anywhere, but they did give me valuable lesson's in the art of drumming, and being in band's. They taught me patience. Something you need in the music industry! Anyway, after a few band's, I took about a year off, for frustration. I picked it back up again, and that's when things got very interesting. I joined some better bands, and even better ones. Then in July of 2001, I was just about to hang it up one more time, then I got an E-mail from Melanie Susuras, to join her working band. The most successful band I have been in to date. Talking to Axl Rose (supposedly) back in February, he told me "Joshua, you need patience if you want to be a musician and make it happen." Well, thanks' Axl, if that was indeed you, I am taking that advice to heart. And I would recommend that advice to any of you musician's out there, trust me, I speak from experience.

Moving on from the drumming and music, I also live to do my own comic strip. It has been in the Atlanta Times Newspaper, in Georgia right alongside Garfield, and Cathy. I have been drawing since I was very little, and will continue to do so, forever. I also love home theater, and home recording of music, and video. I also enjoy playing Guitar, Keyboard, and Singing.

I love you Mom and Dad, Brittney, Donna and the entire rest of my family, and all of my friends, who helped me out, and encouraged my dream's, I am forever in your debt. Thank you all for not judging me, or criticizing me for trying to follow a dream. A dream I had from the time I was 3. Thanks for standing behind me. And to my father, thank you for listening to me ramble about all of my band's. Everything about music. Thank you for being my dad. Thank you for being there for me. I will always remember that. And thank you for your undying support of my career choice, well, my dream career choice. And thank you, Katfish Kings, for letting me have the honor to sit in with you guy's back in April of 2001. I had a blast, you are a bunch of wonderful musician's and will go far in the music industry. Georgia is proud to call you theirs. And last but for sure, not least Mom. Thank you for being you. For being my mother. Thanks for your support. You have listened to my dream's of being this famous drummer. Thanks. And thank you for raising me, to become the person I am. Behind every good man, is a good mother. And Donna, thank you for all of your kind word's, and taking care of me when I visit Georgia and thanks for backing my father's dream's too, of becoming a musician. He want's it just as bad as I do! Thanks Nanny (I hope you see this one day), for all of your support in my life decision's, beyond music. I could sit here all night long thanking people who have made an impact on my life. But I don't want to keep you. Thank you God, for giving me the gift. I credit my father for giving me the determination, and my grandfather. Both musicians. And darn good ones at that. I credit my mother, for the simple fact I am here to this day. That is about all of my thank you's. I have plenty more people I could mention, but I would run out of web space! You know who you are, and thanks!

I love Garfield, by the way. My all time favorite comic strip.
